Policy Statement on Accommodation and Accessibility
The National Work Readiness Council desires to provide the highest
level of access and service to all individuals seeking to earn
the National Work Readiness Credential.
The National Work Readiness Credential assessment has been designed
to certify work readiness to a nationwide standard as established
by business and in compliance with the American Educational
Research Association (AERA), American Psychological Association
(APA), and National Council on Measurement Education (NCME) Standards
for Education/Psychological Testing. It is recognized that the
referenced standards are not applicable to 100 percent of the
population.
The National Work Readiness Assessment is intended to be used
in compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
and US DOL Uniform Employee Selection Guidelines (CFR 28.5014).
The National Work Readiness Council will not certify any site
that is not in compliance with EEOC and US DOL Guidelines and:
• Titles II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act;
• Section 188 of the Workforce Investment Act; and
• Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
It is the stated policy of the National Work Readiness Council
that the National Work Readiness Credential assessment instrument
will be continuously reviewed to assure consistency and compliance
with the generally accepted principles of universal access and
all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
